CEDDET’s PROGRAMME ON VIRTUAL NETWORKS OF EXPERTS

CEDDET’s Programme on virtual networks of experts was created in 2005. It aimed at providing a follow up to CEDDET’s activities (training and technical assistance).

The virtual Networks (communities of practice) have three main goals, namely: lifelong training, networking and resource centre. These networks, which include practitioners working in the same fields in different countries, define yearly activity plans that address specific issues on the subject of the network. The daily activities carried out in these networks include forums, webinars, joint publications, working groups, virtual workshops, presentations, links, best practices, bibliography, etc.. Activities encourage professional development, exchange of experiences/information and professional ties.

These networks are a pioneer and unique experience of worldwide collaborative work among public administrations.
